Tom Tankuki is a Journalist, Comedian, Activist, and socio-political commentator. 
Tom has a show at the Melbourne Fringe Festival - Anti-Lockdown Ode - which is running online from the 5th to the 10th of October. There are links in the show notes to this and of course where you can find & support Tom online.
Tom and I had a great yarn, going into the conspiracy theorist and far-right element of the recent demonstrations in Melbourne. We also unpack some structural elements in this movement, the leaders, their motivation, and how they are weaponising peoples desperation to suit their own agenda. 
Self-identifying as an anti-fascist activist, Tom breaks down what the term means in today's climate and how we can use the most effective tactics to combat Neo-Nazism and Far-Right narratives and end games.

Sinks is a Melbourne rapper, and forward thinking human.

Grace Boxshall (Fungi Sight) - Mycologist

Grace Boxshall is a Mycologist based in Melbourne. She spent her Masters degree researching the toxicity a mushroom which is commonly known as a yellow-staining Agaricus.
I first learnt of the research Grace was doing in 2018 when I poisoned myself with a wild Agaricus which had shown all the signs to be an edible variety. 
Grace is also a founding member of Fungi Sight, a group who catalog and study various mushroom species in Australia. 
It was great chatting with Grace about all things Agaricus, mushrooms, and I even learnt how to extract DNA in my own home!

Caine Barlow MSc (Mycologist) - Psilocybe, Amanita muscaria & fungi in Australian habitats

Caine Barlow is a Mycologist and Fungi Educator based in Melbourne, Australia.  He gives regular talks on mycology, fungi conservation, and teaches gourmet mushroom cultivation. 
He is a member of the Australian organisations Entheogenesis Australis, MYCOmmunity Applied Mycology, The Australian Psychedelic Society, and the Entheome Foundation.
Foraging mushrooms since the early 90’s, Caine has an extensive amount of experience in the field, and has backed that up with a Masters of Science, focused on mycology and a PhD which we will hear more about in this chat.
I thoroughly enjoy foraging for all types of edible & psychedelic fungi so was very grateful to have this conversation with Caine.

John Baptiste

The John Baptiste sound takes form as cavernous depths, warmed with bold bass, afloat with playful buoyancy. Darkened techno is shrouded by cheekiness configured of clear-cut percussion, sliced with psychedelia and strong progressive expansions.
Through getting to know John during gigs and festival travels, we came to realise our pathways through music have been similar. It was great to catch up and chat about our passion for music, modular synths, inspiration and creativity, and quality yarns between mates!

VESSA

Vessa is a musician based in Melbourne, Australia. Her sets are crafted and performed using hardware synthesisers, samplers and drum machines.
Having only performed a handful of times so far, Vessa is forging her own path with strong visions and goals in the Melbourne music scene and beyond. 
We had a great chat about synths, live performances, the need and mechanisms to create more diversity among performers in the music industry, and her early beginnings in a church band!
